dr. Alaaeddin Al Sheikh Omar
Kratka biografija
Dr. Aladdin earned his PhD from the University of Leeds, UK, in 2022. Following his doctoral studies, he expanded his expertise in Tribology and surface engineering as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Functional Surfaces (IFS) at the University of Leeds (2022-2024). His research focuses on Tribology, surface engineering, tribofilm chemistry, and the development of lubricants and coatings at the nano/micro scale. Dr. Aladdin has conducted significant research on modern vehicles, including hydrogen and electric models, as well as wind turbines, evaluating the impact of various formulated lubricants on tribofilm formation and wear.
Throughout his research career, Dr. Aladdin has demonstrated proficiency in designing and conducting experiments in Tribology and surface engineering. He has utilized a range of laboratory instruments, such as acoustic emission measurement devices, Fretting and Filtration rigs, and both in-situ and ex-situ Tribometers.
Currently, Dr. Aladdin is continuing his research as a Research Fellow under the European Mobility GT program, where he is pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship.
