Jakob Živalič
Short biography
Jakob Živalič, born in Ljubljana, continued his education at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana after finishing secondary school in 2019. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2022 with a thesis titled "Review of local ventilation systems with recuperation," under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Uroš Stritih. He pursued further studies at the master's level, finishing in 2024 with a thesis titled "Effect of sample insulation on contact temperature in tribological testing of polymeric materials," supervised by Professor Dr. Mitjan Kalin and co-supervised by Senior Research Fellow Dr. Tomaž Požar. Since 2024, he has been employed as a young researcher at the Laboratory for tribology and interface nanotechnology.
