dr. Urša Šolinc
Short biography
Urša Šolinc was born in Kranj, Slovenia, in 1984. In 2009 she completed her study of civil engineering at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana, with a thesis titled Derivation of stable finite elements at large deformations. In 2009 she was employed by the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering in Ljubljana as a researcher in the field of computational mechanics. In 2012 she completed her study of mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, with a thesis titled Homogenisation of materials with periodic microstructure. In 2016 she was employed by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana as a researcher and an assistant in the field of machine elements. In 2020 she completed her Phd study at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, with a doctoral dissertation titled Wrought magnesium alloy fatigue under cyclic loading. She is currently working as a researcher in the field of computational mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana.
