Pedro Martins Ferreira
Short biography
Pedro was born in 1993 in Campinas, Brazil. He started his academic path in 2011, when he joined the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) to course Mechanical Engineering for a bachelor’s degree. In 2013 he was selected to participate in a double degree program with the École Centrale de Lyon, in France. After some years he accomplished all obligations to be awarded the Brazilian BSc degree and the French MSc degree in general engineering (which includes notions of civil, electrical, electronic, chemical, physical, materials and mechanical engineering). In 2018 he started a specialized MSc degree in IFP School, in France, called “Energy and Products”. It was focused on fuels and lubricants formulation and properties for engine and industrial applications.
He is employed at the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology since October 2020, he is one of the GreenTRIBOS young researchers. He is working on a PhD project with organic additives for the green lubrication of polymer mechanical parts under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mitjan Kalin.
