dr. Alja Kupec
Short biography
After graduating, Alja Kupec enrolled in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering (NTF), University in Ljubljana. She completed the study of Textile Technology with the thesis entitled: Insulation of electrically conductive fibres, under supervision of prof. dr. Vilibald Bukošek and Martin Amberg. The thesis has been done at the Swiss Institute Empa and was awarded with the Faculty's Prešeren award.
Afterwards, she became a young researcher at the Electronic Ceramics Department, Jožef Stefan Institute. In 2014, she finished her Ph.D study under mentorship of prof. dr. Marija Kosec and prof. dr. Barbara Malič with the thesis entitled Solution-derived (K₀.₅Na₀.₅)NbO₃ based thin films. During following year she completed the study of Graphics Technology at NTF by defending the thesis entitled: Direct patterning of (K₀.₅Na₀.₅)NbO₃, under supervision of prof. dr. Diana Gregor Svetec and prof. dr. Barbara Malič.
Since 2016 she continues with the research work at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology, Ljubljana.
