dr. Aljaž Pogačnik
Short biography
Aljaž Pogačnik was born in 1985 in Kranj. After graduating from high school in 2004, he enrolled in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana and completed the study in 2009 with a thesis entitled Analysis of an actuator for new generation of headlamps under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mitjan Kalin and Prof. Dr. Janez Kramar. Aljaž was then employed the same year as a Young researcher at Iskra Mehanizmi, Lipnica. In the Laboratory for tribology and interface nanotechnology he defended his PhD related to the use of polymer materials in tribological contacts under the mentorship of prof. dr. Mitjan Kalin.
