doc. dr. Janez Kogovšek
Short biography
After graduating from high school in 2003, Janez Kogovšek enrolled in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana and completed the study in 2009 with a thesis entitled Nanoparticle friction properties on atomic level and their effects in lubricants under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mitjan Kalin and Prof. Dr. Jože Vižintin. Janez was then employed the same year as a Young researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana. In 2013 he finished his PhD studies in the Laboratory for tribology and surface nanotechnology, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Mitjan Kalin and co-mentorship of Prof. Dr. Maja Remškar (IJS), with a thesis titled Tribological effects of nanoparticles in lubricants. Currently he continues to investigatethe use of nanoparticles as additives in lubricants.
