Awards and acknowledgments in 2013

In 2013, many of our colleagues received awards and recognitions given by Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.
Dr. Janez Kogovšek: Acknowledgment from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for quality publications
Dr. Janez Kogovšek, a researcher and assistant in the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology, received a recognition of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to colleges under the age of 35 for quality publications in the previous academic year. He was acknowledged for publishing three publications in world renowned journals with SCI index.
Dr. Rok Simič: Acknowledgment from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for quality publications
Dr. Rok Simič, a researcher and assistant in the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology, received a recognition of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to colleges under the age of 35 for quality publications in the previous academic year. He was acknowledged for publishing four publications in world renowned journals with SCI index.
Dr. Aljaž Pogačnik: Acknowledgment from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for quality publications
Dr. Aljaž Pogačnik, a researcher in the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology, received a recognition of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to colleges under the age of 35 for quality publications in the previous academic year. He was acknowledged for publishing three publications in world renowned journals with SCI index.
Marko Polajnar: Award from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for successfull presenation of research work on international level
Marko Polajnar presented his research work by co-autorship of two scientific papers and contributions on the conferences. One paper was published in journal Tribology International, while other one was published in journal Tribology Letters. Especially the latter paper was important in terms that it has been accepted within one month from submission, indicating the importance and relevance of the topic that has been investigated. He also presented his reseach work with two presentations on the World tribology conference (WTC, Turin, 2013) that is the largest conference from field of tribology and takes place every four years. Results from his experiments were also presented as invited lectures on some other relevant conferences abroad.
Blaž Žugelj: Faculty Prešeren Award for research work in year 2012/2013Prešeren Award was presented to him for research work entitled: The influence of surface charge on tribological behavior of SiC and Si3N4 ceramics lubricated with water.
